Wills and Estates
Have you got a current Will and/or Enduring Power of Attorney?
A will is a legal document that outlines how your assets will be distributed after your passing. It ensures your wishes are followed, protects your loved ones, and helps prevent disputes. Without a valid will, your estate may be distributed according to legal rules, which may not align with your intentions.
An EPOA allows you to appoint someone you trust to make important financial, personal, and health decisions on your behalf if you become unable to do so. Unlike a general power of attorney, an enduring power of attorney remains valid even if you lose capacity due to illness or injury.
At RMT Legal, we can:
-
review your personal and financial circumstances.
-
obtain your instructions as to your wishes for distribution of your assets.
-
work with you to prepare a will suitable to your needs;
-
prepare your enduring power of attorney.
-
meet with you to execute the documents.
-
hold your original will in safe custody and provide copies to you and your executors.
